Welcome

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Group Analyst with over 20 years experience as a Consultant Psychotherapist in the NHS. I have also taught and supervised on a number of training programmes within the Institute of Group Analysis. Prior to this I worked as a teacher.

It can feel daunting to start therapy at first, and talk to a stranger about what is troubling you. I offer a safe confidential place, where we can start to build a therapeutic relationship.

This therapeutic alliance will help us to make sense of the challenges you face and enable us to explore together, what is happening to you, your feelings and your thoughts. Through this insight, we can then consider what might need to change or be different. This will enable you to improve your relationship with yourself and others, whether this is on a personal and/or professional basis.

My experience enables me to provide clinical supervision to therapists who are on training courses or who are working independently and need a registered UKCP supervisor for their work.

Referral Process

You are welcome to refer yourself directly by contacting me via my website mattersfortherapy.org.uk. In addition a GP, Psychiatrist or other health professional can also refer you for treatment.

As it is important that you find the right type of help for you, I offer an initial assessment session(s) to see if I can meet your needs.
